How environmentally friendly are ComfortAce products?

Our bedding is made from natural products such as cotton, duck down, and goose down. These materials have unique properties in terms of comfort and hygiene, but they are also under pressure. ComfortAce is happy to explain why we use these materials. To do so, we must also answer the question of how environmentally friendly bedding is.

The Higg Materials Sustainability Index (Higg MSI) provides a clear indication of how harmful a particular type of material is to the environment. It clearly shows the impact of the most commonly used materials in the clothing and textile industry. Each fabric is given a score. Among other things, it looks at the use of chemicals, energy, water, and fossil raw materials throughout the entire production process. The higher the score, the greater the impact on the environment and therefore the worse it is. In this case, down (19) scores much better than polyester (28) and wool (71). This is one of the reasons why we use both down and polyester for our bed textiles.

Approved ComfortAce products

ComfortAce bedding has various quality marks, which means we can guarantee quality and sustainability in accordance with the Higg MSI. All our textiles are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, which means they do not contain any harmful substances. We also comply with the Global Organic Textile Standard, which means that the production and processing of the textiles is approved. We only use the highest quality down and feather fillings for our products, which is endorsed by the European Down and Feather Association. Thanks in part to these quality marks, ComfortAce ensures a sustainable and environmentally friendly production process.
